Accessibility

Accessibility and medical requests must be filed before you sail

Pregnancy information must be provided at least 30 days before the sailing date.

Service dog requests must be provided at least 60 days before the sailing date.

Earlier deadlines apply to the World Cruise, because of its itinerary.

Dress code

Casual by day, a more polished look in the evening, plus Gala Night

Shorts and T-shirts are fine during the day.

Evening in the main dining rooms, specialty restaurants, theater and bars: collared shirts, tailored trousers or shorts, skirts, dresses.

Swimwear is never allowed in a formal dining venue, including at breakfast and lunch. Shorts, flip-flops and tank tops are restricted too.

Daily gratuities

A daily Hotel Service Charge per person, set by the region you are sailing

Caribbean, Alaska and USA sailings are charged at one rate; Mediterranean, Northern Europe and other regions at another.

Children under 2 are not charged.

Can be added to the cruise price at booking instead of your onboard account.

Drink packages

Pre-paid packages fleetwide, and everyone at the table must hold the same one

Packages are available on all MSC ships except those sailing in South Africa.

Product brands vary by destination and season.

To dine together at the same restaurant table, all guests must subscribe to the same drinks package — including guests in separate staterooms.

Minimum age

A minor is anyone under 21 on voyages calling at a US port, and under 18 on voyages that do not

A minor cannot embark unless accompanied by a parent, guardian or other authorized person over that same age.

On voyages calling at a US port, under-21s may not order or drink alcohol or gamble.

Loyalty program

MSC Voyagers Club — Welcome, Classic, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Blue Diamond

Joining is free. Blue Diamond is the newest and highest status.

Membership stays active as long as you cruise once every five years.

Classic and above get 5% off the cruise fare on every cruise booked, plus onboard discounts.

What the rules say

• MSC Cruises: Every MSC ship has a Medical Centre supervised by a ship's doctor, open at the times shown in the Daily Programme.

• MSC Cruises: The onboard medical center has a limited oxygen supply, mainly for patients in the medical facility. If you need long-term oxygen therapy, arranging it for the cruise is your responsibility.

• MSC Cruises: MSC does not provide individual hemodialysis. Guests who are stable and can manage home peritoneal dialysis on their own are welcome to sail. MSC notes there are risks in cruising while on dialysis.

• MSC Cruises: Where tenders are used, guests must be fit and mobile enough to get on and off the tender without assistance. Crew may not carry wheelchairs or scooters onto the tender.
