How senior fares work
- Terms vary by line. Often at least one guest in the cabin must be 55 or older, and you may be asked for proof of age.
- They come and go with promotions. A line may offer one this month and not next month.
- They are not always the lowest price. A sale fare open to everyone can be cheaper.

- Loyalty programs. Every major line has one, and perks grow with each cruise.
- Price drops. Some lines let you re-book at a lower fare before final payment.
