Wheelchair-accessible staterooms on all ships — book early

Accessible staterooms offer wider door frames, roll-in showers, shower benches and higher furniture.

Availability is limited, so Norwegian recommends booking as far in advance as possible.

A limited supply of wheelchairs is kept on board for getting on and off the ship.

Solo travelers

Dedicated Solo staterooms, priced for one

Choose from Solo Studio, Solo Inside, Solo Oceanview and Solo Balcony staterooms.

Solo staterooms are priced for one person, so there is no double-occupancy fare to cover.

All Solo staterooms include access to the Studio Lounge. That lounge is only available to Solo Studio guests.

Daily gratuities

No required or recommended tipping for general service

Norwegian states you should not feel obliged to tip, and staff may accept cash for exceptional service.

20% is still added automatically to spa and salon services, all beverage purchases and specialty dining.

Concierge, butler, youth staff and beverage servers do not share the overall service charge, so the line suggests tipping them directly.

Drink packages

Free at Sea Unlimited Open Bar, for guests 21 and older

Free at Sea can be selected when you book. Free at Sea Plus adds Starbucks, high-speed Wi-Fi, top-shelf spirits and signature-collection wines, bottled water at bars and restaurants, 50% off extra specialty dining nights, and pre-paid daily service charges.

Separate Unlimited Starbucks and water packages are also sold.

A separate Hawaiʻi Unlimited Open Bar Package applies to Pride of America only.

Minimum age

Anyone under 21 is a minor and must be accompanied by a guest 21 or older

The adult must be in the same, connecting or side-by-side stateroom, and agree to be responsible for them.

You must be 21 or older to buy or drink alcohol.

18 and over may drink on round-trip European voyages, and in Australian and New Zealand waters, without a waiver.

Loyalty program

Latitudes Rewards — Bronze 1–19, Silver 20–44, Gold 45–74, Platinum 75–149, Sapphire 150–349, Diamond 350–699, Ambassador 700+

Enrollment is automatic within 48 hours of your first completed sailing, for guests 18 and over.

You earn 1 point per cruise night, plus 1 extra point per night in a Suite or The Haven, plus 1 extra point per night when you book a Latitudes Insider Offer.

Points are non-transferable. Cruises on sister lines such as Oceania and Regent do not earn Latitudes points.

What the rules say

• Norwegian Cruise Line: In a standard (non-accessible) stateroom you need a collapsible wheelchair, or a motorized wheelchair or scooter no wider than 26 inches to fit the door.
